MiddlesexS-B-Cs Australian opener Phillip Hughes has been named as the Cricket World County Player Of The Week following his remarkable start to his career in England. Hughes made 118 in his first innings for Middlesex against Glamorgan at LordS-B-Cs, following that up with 65 not out in the second innings to help Middlesex secure a draw. He then marked his debut in the Friends Provident Trophy with an innings of 74, sharing an opening stand worth 147 with Billy Godleman which set Middlesex on their way towards an emphatic 162-run win over Scotland.
