About Andrew Barry McDonald
McDonald is a talented all-rounder, regarded for his astute cricketing mind - he was an Ashes tourist but didnS-B-Ct get to play a Test. Though the tall red-head, nicknamed Ronnie, managed only 70 runs at 17.5 in the 2008-09 Big Bash season, his strike-rate of 134.61 showed he always put the team first. McDonald had a great 2007-08 domestic season. In the Pura Cup, he had a batting average of over a hundred. He finished the season as only the 4th player in Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup history to reach the double of 750 runs and 25 wickets in a season. Picked by the Delhi Daredevils in 2009, he got the chance to play only once and would be hoping for an extended run this time around.
